THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 15 MONTHS DUE TO FUNDING
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our team to undertake the role of Programme Manager (Pharmacy Clinical Trial Document Standardisation and Digital Integration). (Band 8a).
This is a senior, leadership role with significant organisational accountability and external influence. The post holder leads the implementation and delivery of a range of high-profile national programmes and work streams including standardising commercial clinical trials pharmacy documentation and overseeing integration across Wales.
The postholder will have a nominated base within the NHS and will have the ability to work remotely/flexibly.

Main duties of the job
Lead the delivery of high-profile national programmes to standardise pharmacy support for commercial clinical trials across Wales, including development of a unified documentation framework aligned with existing digital platforms.
Act as the strategic lead for complex, Wales-wide programmes, operating with a high level of autonomy and accountability, and influencing system-wide change in commercial research delivery.
Oversee and champion national recommendations to optimise pharmacy models of working for commercial trials, including workforce training, income reinvestment, aseptic preparation capacity, and appropriate outsourcing arrangements.
Work collaboratively with senior stakeholders across Health and Care Research Wales, NHS Wales pharmacy teams, digital transformation leads, TRAMs and research governance teams to drive continuous service improvement.
Apply robust programme and project management methodologies to ensure documentation and processes meet MHRA and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards, support patient safety and research integrity, and enable efficient trial set-up in line with commercial sponsor expectations.
