Job summary
This busy service is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated person who can offer excellent administrative support to assist in the smooth running of the endoscopy booking office.
The endoscopy administrator support officer will have responsibility for administrative duties within the endoscopy booking office and will work alongside clinical colleagues in a dynamic, fast paced environment. The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring an optimum level of efficient clerical support to assist waiting list management.
This role is part time and the base is Breconshire War Memorial Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The aim of the job role is to deliver and maintain an administrative service within endoscopy and to all its users; patients, relatives and colleagues. You will be responsible for ensuring that all referrals are booked on our patient administration system and diagnostic endoscopic procedures are booked /scheduled by ensuring targets are met (including the cancer pathway), deal with telephone enquiries, send appointment letters with endoscopy pre-procedure leaflets, cache up endoscopy sessions and prepare show notes for the endoscopists with i.e. results or patient queries. You will also require to undertake audio typing.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
