THIS POST IS FIXED TERM UNTIL 31-03-2027 TOMEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE.

A new opportunity has arisen to enable Powys Community Neurological Rehabilitation Team (CNRT) to welcome a specialist Physiotherapist to join our team on a fixed-term contract until 31st March 2027

If you have experience in Neurology, enjoy working within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) and want to utilise and develop your skills and knowledge within a highly specialist, community, consultant-led therapy service, we very much welcome your interest in this role.

Main duties of the job

Powys CNRT specialises in therapeutic rehabilitation and management strategies for adults with progressive and non-progressive neurological disability and includes:

  • Consultant therapists (Physiotherapy and Neuropsychology)
  • Highly specialist Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists
  • Motor Neuro Care Coordinator
  • Therapy support workers
  • Administrative coordinator

CNRT operates Weekdays 8:30am - 4:30pm. This role is based in Newtown covering a caseload predominantly within North and reaching into Mid-Powys.

Role specificMain responsibilities include:

  • Providing Specialist Physiotherapy to patients with neurological disability.
  • To act as a source of expertise in the holistic management of neurological needs, providing strategies and education to patients, carers/families, professionals and other services involved as part of an interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
  • To educate, train and supervise others as applicable to the role and service.
  • To activity engage in CPD and service development work. You will receive clinical supervision from our highly specialist Physiotherapist and Consultant Therapist within CNRT as well as support in developing your learning from the wider CNRT MDT.
