Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate pan Powys service supporting women with moderate to severe mental health illness during the perinatal period.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic , clinically competent mental health nurse to join our team.

The post holder will work closely with members of the multidisciplinary team and other multiagency professionals across the county to provide evidence based advice, assessment , care and intervention, for women and their families during the perinatal period.

This job offers the chance to work autonomously within a supportive team, where there will be opportunities for personal and professional development, whilst also supporting the ongoing development of the service.

Main duties of the job

The Perinatal Mental Health (PNMH) Nurse will work clinically andcollaboratively alongside key professionals to oversee and ensure specialist clinical assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical care in the community for women with PNMH services and their families. Influential in promoting mental health wellbeing, demonstrating enhanced competence in complex, clinical assessment, decision making, and the management of clinical needs. There will be times when decision making will require timely and responsive intervention to manage risk.
