Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Powys Teaching Health Board Outpatient department for Planned Care for a Colposcopy Lead Nurse.
The post holder will combine excellent clinical practise undertaking leadership and management responsibilities in support of the delivery of the Cervical Screening Wales Programme for Powys Teaching Health Board.
Main duties of the job
As a member of the multidisciplinary team the post holder will haveresponsibility for the nursing assessment of patient care needs and thedevelopment, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. They will provide specialist advice as necessary and carry out specialist nursing procedures to assist screening colposcopes.
Co-ordinate the day to day running of the colposcopy clinics, working alongside the nursing team providing support to junior colleagues in the provision of direct patient care.
Support the Management Team within the OPD including in the recruitment process, resource management and clinical risk management.
