Job summary

The Occupational Health Service (OHS) works to promote, maintain andimprove the health of the employee, to safeguard employees' health from riskarising from their work and working environment and to promote the health ofthe organisation. The post holder will be required to undertake acomprehensive range of occupational health activities:

Lead and oversee the delivery of high-quality occupational health nursingcare.Provide clinical leadership, development and supervision of the nursingteam.Oversee the delivery of clinical services ensuring that they are clientfocused and responsive to the needs of the organisation.Education and clinical supervision of staff.Line management of staff including Nurses and Administration staff.Policy development.Attendance at relevant meetings both Powys wide and external meetings.

Main duties of the job

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • Registered Nurse with Live NMC Registration
  • Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Occupational Health) Degree or equivalent / diploma
  • Management training / leadership course
  • Masters Degree or equivalent experience in Health Science relevant to Occupational Health or Health Service management
  • Relevant clinical and management experienc
  • Demonstrates up to date knowledge and expertise in the speciality
  • Evidence of ability to work collaboratively/autonomously and manage clinical workload
  • Knowledge of key professional issues and NMC guidelines relating to professional practice
  • Knowledge of relevant guidance, legislation and evidence-based practice
