Job summary
Support the Child Health Department in all administration duties associated with the Child Health System.Working with joint responsibility as Receptionist for the Childrens Centre in Brecon. Carrying out a range of responsibilities, from managing the roombooking system and the rooms within the Centre; greeting patients and clients on entry to the Centre.
Liaison with specialist services.Contribute to delivering a preventative service for children and their families by assisting the services within Women and Childrens and Therapies with associated administrative duties.Ensure efficient processes are maintained and adhered to inputting dataaccurately onto the Child Health Systems
Main duties of the job
Maintain preschool and school aged child files and undertake associated typing and printing for immunisations and developmental checks as required.paperwork.Support as required with the Immunisation process for pre school and school aged children immunisation sessions within schools as admin where needed.Preparing and sending notification of stillbirth/child death letters to relevant colleagues and associated updating of electronic records.Health related programme data within CYPRIS and generate associated reports for screening compliance .Act as a main point of contact for all patients, staff, relatives, and visitors to the Childrens Centre, where there may be barriers to understanding, ensuring that they are dealt with in a professional, appropriate, calm, and empathetic manner and if necessary direct appropriately to the correct department / person.Provide non-clinical advice, information to patients, clients, and relativesregarding a range of topics, e.g., general hospital information, signpostingwhere appropriate.Manage and oversee the room booking system used within the Children'sCenter.Manage interactions appropriately, utilising developed communication andinterpersonal skills, either face-to-face or on the telephone, utilising empathy, sensitivity, and confidentiality.
