Job summary

Assist the Community Services Manager and Head of Nursing in developingand ensuring robust and sustainable delivery of District Nursing services toPowys patients.Be a strong visible clinical leader which will support and shape the deliveryof the District Nursing service across a number of clinical teams, includingNurses, non-registered Health Care Workers and Administration staff.

Main duties of the job

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 8A Clinical Lead to join our community nursing team in PTHB. Are you a senior clinical practitioner looking for an opportunity to work within the community setting? If so we have a secondment opportunity within our community nursing team in Powys.

We are looking for a leader and role model, with excellent organisation and communication skills, extensive clinical experience and a proven track record of highly effective leadership skills.The successful candidate will have a credible track record of leadership, establishing and maintaining effective relationships and working in partnership in order to work with the team and act as a change model to ensure that the service is evidence based, aligned to delivering prudent healthcare and meet the needs of Powys residents.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • Knowledge of current Nursing issues within NHS care systems
  • High level of knowledge of NMC code of conduct and professional standards / guidance
