A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Workforce & OD team at Powys Teaching Health Board as anAssistant HR Business Partner. Working as part of a passionate team, committed to the ongoing development and continuous learning of our staff, we are looking for an individual who:

  • Is passionate about their profession and strives to deliver high quality, effective and forward thinking HR services
  • Has significant experience of working in a HR advisor/practitioner role
  • Has experience across a range of HR topics and is able to demonstrate their experience in delivery

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing support to the HR Business Partner, providing effective and solution focused HR advice across a range of HR areas. The post holder may also take responsibility for a discrete service within their role as Assistant HR Business Partner.

The position will allow for agile working, but there will be a requirement to attend health board sites when required to meet the needs of the service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

The Assistant HR Business Partner (BP) will work autonomously to support the HR BP's in providing HR expertise to embed Workforce and OD strategic objectives within services and support the delivery of the Health Board's overall strategic objectives. Responsible for providing guidance and advice in relation to:

  • Workforce planningo Organisational Changeo Resourcingo Engagement & Staff Wellbeingo Employee Relationso Workforce performance & efficiencyo Team Development
  • The successful applicant will work closely with the wider Workforce & OD directorate to ensure a proactive, collaborative approach is in place to drive the achievement of the Health Board and directorate objectives.

  • Level 5 Human Resources Management qualification or equivalent

  • CIPD Professional Registration: Associate CIPD
