We have an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and passionate Workforce and OD team as a H.R. Advisor. We are looking for someone who wants to feel their contribution is valued, can contribute to the delivery of an ambitious set of workforce priorities and enjoys being part of a friendly and supportive team.
You will be responsible for supporting the provision of advice across a range of HR activity and will particularly support the following areas:
- Employee Relations
- Engagement & Staff Wellbeing
- Workforce performance & efficiency
- Team Development
As the largest geographical Health Board in Wales, and one of the largest in the UK, we understand the value of agile working. Our policy provides the opportunity for extensive home working and the flexibility to perform a significant part of this role remotely.
You'll work closely with the wider Workforce & OD directorate to ensure a proactive, collaborative approach is in place to drive the achievement of the Health Board and directorate objectives.
Main duties of the job
You will be at the forefront of providing a comprehensive and professional Human Resources (HR) service to the managers and employees of the organisation; therefore, an ability to build good working relationships and provide a timely and responsive service is pivotal.
Through excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills, will advise and support Line Managers on a variety of HR issues. At an operational level ensure that decision making is consistent with organisational policies, current employment legislation and good employment practice and the Agenda for Change Job Evaluation process.
Work in conjunction with the Employee Relations Manager to identify development needs of managers and supervisors regarding people management issues, aiming to improve people management capability and skills across the Health Board, including assisting in the design and delivery of specific HR Skills Workshops/Training.
Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and contributing to the development of HR administration systems
