Are you ready to shape the future of respiratory care?Wrexham Maelor Hospital is seeking a motivated Band 6 Respiratory Specialist Nurse.Working alongside our respiratory consultants, you'll provide expert clinical support for patients with conditions such as Asthma, Interstitial Lung Disease, COPD, Bronchiectasis and TB and act as a knowledgeable resource for the wider team.

- Working towards a relevant post-graduate degree to be completed within an agreed timeframe
- Diploma level training or demonstrable CPD in respiratory management
Desirable
- Obtained or working towards relevant Post Graduate Degree in Respiratory care
- Demonstrates ability to support the development of nursing standards and quality initiatives
- Demonstrates teaching, mentoring and assessing skills
- Demonstrate involvement in research that has changed nursing practice
- Module or qualification in respiratory management

- Experience and credibility as a professional resource in the Respiratory speciality/practice area e.g. link nurse
- Demonstrated ability to articulate evidence based nursing advice to a Multidisciplinary Team
- Post registration practice within the defined scope of Respiratory speciality/practice

- Demonstrate skills in nursing leadership e.g. management of a ward/team/caseload
- Ability to assess complex needs of patient relevant to Respiratory practice
- Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, using evidence practice in area of respiratory specialty
- Initiates health promotion activities to encourage productive health behaviours
- Be a professional leader and role model, with proven ability to inspire, motivate and develop others in area of respriatory/sleep practice
