In this role, you will:
- Support the day-to-day coordination and smooth running of radiographic services
- Lead, motivate, and support colleagues to deliver safe, timely, and person-centred care
- Work closely with senior leaders on service planning, quality improvement, and operational delivery
- Provide guidance and supervision to junior radiographers, students, and new starters
- Act as a key point of contact for operational issues, workflow management, and workforce coordination
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a strong and confident clinical background in radiography
- Is proactive, organised, and an effective communicator
- Shows genuine enthusiasm for leadership, service development, and supporting others
- Can adapt to service needs, use initiative, and help drive continuous improvement

Main duties of the job
Maintain and Improve Standards: Lead by example in setting clinical and professional standards. Participate in audits and service reviews to identify and implement improvements.
Supervise and Develop Staff: Provide supervision, assessment, and training for staff, students, and visitors, ensuring adherence to BCUHB policies, radiology protocols, and professional standards.
Foster Collaborative Working: Promote effective communication and teamwork across departments, helping to resolve local operational issues as they arise.
Undertake Line Management Duties: Support delegated responsibilities including return-to-work interviews, appraisals, and daily staff allocation.
This role requires excellent communication skills and a sound understanding of IR(ME)R and IRR17 regulations. It offers an excellent development opportunity for those aspiring to senior leadership roles.
