Job summary

We are looking for a highly engaging individual to join our friendly, dynamic and progressive Infection Prevention and Control Team and the wider organisation at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board on our journey to achieve zero tolerance towards avoidable infection.

You must be a registered health care professional and having worked within a proactive infection prevention team be able to demonstrate passion for ensuring the highest standards in infection prevention. You will act as an inspirational role model to preserve patient safety and share your knowledge and experiences to develop junior staff within the team.

As the Infection Prevention Nurse you will be responsible for supporting the leadership and management of the Infection Prevention Service for Primary and Secondary care across the health economy, whilst also promoting and sustaining the Habits Campaign .

Excellent interpersonal skills are essential to this role, as you will be working closely with your Infection Prevention Sister/Charge Nurse across many disciplines both in the acute and community settings providing expertise on infection prevention issues, whilst also promoting and sustain the Habits Programme.

Main duties of the job

You must be a registered health care professional and team and be able to demonstrate passion for ensuring the highest standards in infection prevention. You will act as an inspirational role model to preserve patient safety and share your knowledge and experiences across the multiple disciplinary team within the East IHC

As the Infection Prevention Nurse , you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Infection Prevention Service for Primary and Secondary care across the health economy, whilst also promoting and sustaining the Habits Programme.
