An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join our Specialist Nursing Team as a Parkinson's Nurse at Betsi Cadwaldr University Hospital Trust, working closely with Neurology, the care of the elderly team and the rehabilitation team.
This post will be based primarily at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital but flexibility will be required depending on the service needs.
Main duties of the job
Working closely with the post holder will facilitate achievement of a quality patient experience, whilst acting within clearly defined policies/procedure guidelines, and codes of conduct.
The Parkinson's Nurse will offer ongoing support and advice to people with Parkinson's their families and carers and offer assessment and regular reviews in a nurse led clinic at the person's home or by telephone as appropriate.
This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to develop expertise within this specialty. Experience within a neurology setting is desirable; however; consideration will be given to a candidate who demonstrates a keen interest and proven record of accomplishment of personal and professional development and are willing to undergo training to meet this role. You must however possess a flexible attitude, and commitment to achieve excellence.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
