Audiology Validation Clerk

Job summary

Working as part of the administration team based in the Audiology Department, Glan Clwyd Hospital the postholder will be required to provide reception and clerical duties relating principally to patient administration in support of clinical staff.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to provide an excellent service to patients in a busy out-patient department. It is essential that you have good verbal & written communication skills, excellent customer care and a willingness to help others. You will have experience of a reception environment and will have proficient computer skills.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

Provide an effective and efficient validation service to assist in meeting National Targets in line with Welsh Government waiting list guidelines.

The post holder will also be an integrated member of the Audiology IT team.

Data cleansing of APMS (Audiology Patient Management System).

Work closely with the Audiology Business Manager, IT Lead, Manager and Admin Manager to help ensure the smooth operation of the APMS.

  • oNVQ Level 3 or equivalent knowledge and experience or willing to work towards this qualification.

  • oAwareness of local/national waiting list management policy and knowledge of waiting times.
