Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clerical officer to join the team on a full time, permanent basis at Abergele Hospital, Ophthalmology department.
The postholder will work as a member of a team providing an efficient and comprehensive clerical support service for the admin and clinical team thereby supporting the delivery of high quality service to patients and staff within the Department.

Main duties of the job
Working as part of a large, busy but friendly team the postholder will cover the various administration areas within the department. A keen eye to detail and a high level of concentration and accuracy is required.
Proficient IT skills are an advantage (including experience of hospital systems such as WPAS and Microsoft office) as the post holder will be undertaking a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth day to day running of the department. The postholder will play a large part in the preparation of notes and compilation of new notes for the daily clinics, while maintaining case notes and ensuring they are in good condition and repair damaged notes when required. The job also entails the post holder to collect, retrieve and distribute case notes or urgent files manually when required to and from other areas of the hospital.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
