We welcome applications from Radiographers who are keen to grow into the role although previous experience within an Interventional Radiology setting would be advantageous.
Main duties of the job
As a Interventional Radiographer, you'll help deliver a safe, efficient, and patient-focused imaging service. Key duties include:
- Service Delivery & Collaboration
- Work closely with IR Lead and Principal Operations Radiographers to maintain a high-quality service with a strong focus on patient care.
- Participate in a wide range of specialised examinations to a high standard using relevant practical expertise.
- Undertake a senior role when working within IR and the general dept. This includes both clinical and non- clinical work associated with service delivery.
- Ability to participate in out of hours working and 24hr cross site emergency cover for intervention.
- Quality & Standards
- Set and maintain professional standards in the Radiology Department and contribute to audits and service improvements with colleagues.
- Staff Support & Development
- Supervise and support staff, students, and visitors. Provide teaching and assessment in line with BCUHB policies and HCPC standards.
- Cross-Departmental Relationships
- Build strong working relationships across departments and help resolve local operational issues.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
