Working within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering expert care, emotional support, and clinical leadership across the Upper GI cancer pathway, within the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
This role is part of the Upper GI Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) team, focusing on Oesophago-Gastric (OG) and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) cancers. It offers a dynamic opportunity for nurses to:
- Expand specialist skills in oncology nursing
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with leading surgical and oncology teams
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across the cancer pathway
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialist nursing advice, care, and support to patients with Upper GI cancers;Act as a key worker, ensuring continuity and coordination of care;Support patients and families through diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship;Work closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure holistic care; Participate in service development, education, and research; Uphold national cancer standards and contribute to peer review processes
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and /or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
