Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, forward thinking and patient/service focused Pharmacy Technician to join our existing team within the Pharmacy Production Unit.
To be considered for this role, you will be required to have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician, and hold previous experience of working within a Production Unit, including aseptic manipulation and preparation.
Applicants are required to possess high level knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice principles and hold the Accredited Checking Technician qualification as well as the BTEC Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills (or equivalent).
Main duties of the job

Duties within the role will include;
- Aseptic manipulation and preparation of a range of products to meet our service demands, including Chemotherapy, Parental Nutrition, CIVAS, extemporaneous doses and Radiopharmaceuticals.
- Supervision and coordination of junior support staff and technicians.
- Completing sessions of pre-process checking, where attention to detail and accuracy skills are paramount.
- Deputising where applicable for the Senior Pharmacy Technician.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
