Substance Misuse Criminal Justice Link Worker

Job summary
The post holder will cover Ynys Mon and Gwynedd to provide support and advice to adults who encounter the criminal justice and emergency services. The intervention will be through both face to face and telephone contact as the post holder will link in external agencies to provide interventions or advice for substance misuse issues in community.
This role will work closely with North Wales Police, Dechrau Newydd and criminal justice services to ensure that people who may be vulnerable through substance misuse/addictions issues are supported to access the most appropriate and least restrictive pathways.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
As an experienced practitioner the post holder will be able capable of responding to people who will be experiencing emotional distress and/or deterioration in their mental health in a variety of settings.
This role will entail working in a range of sites across North Wales to support Substance Misuse agenda, this will also involve joint working with Dechrau Newydd with prison releases, DRR and ATR.
