An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part Time Permanent Band 6 Junior Sister/Senior Staff Nurse on Panto Ward.
Pantomine Ward (Gastroenterology and Liver diseases.)
The ward has achieved silver accreditation and prides itself on developmental opportunities and learning. Teamwork is paramount within the ward and staff are passionate about implementing changes for exceptional patient care.
The unit works closely with all members of the MDT focusing on effective and safe discharge of our patients. We provide the unique opportunity to work within different areas to develop and extend skills and knowledge in a supported environment.

Main duties of the job
Takes responsibility for a ward or equivalent sphere of nursing, in the absence of the person who has continuing (24 hour) responsibility at Band 7.
Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluating programmes of care. Responsible for managing a group of staff in the absence of the Ward Sister.
You will be supported bythe Ward Manager,Practice Development Nurse and Matronto undertake professional and personal developmentopportunities, andbe supported to undertake postgraduate academiccourses.
The ward offers different learning opportunities as well as a chance to develop managementand leadership skills.
The post holders will be expected to deliver care of the highest standard and work closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team. As a Clinical Sister / Charge Nurse you will ensure that you carry out clinical practice within designated clinical areas, ensuring that high qualities, current evidence-based nursing assessment, care planning, implementation, interventions and evaluations for patients is provided from admission through to discharge.
