Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Locality Coordinator within the Community Services (Centre).

On behalf of the Locality Support Manager (LSM) the post holder, acting with independent judgement, assists with the daily operational management of all A&C staff within the Community Division. Guidance sought where necessary from the Locality Support Manager (LSM).

Working as part of the Management Team, a key aspect of this post will be to ensure sound administrative processes are in place to support the community teams in an efficient and effective way.

Working as part of the community management team, support colleagues to provide cover during periods of absence, answering queries from admin and clerical staff and the completion of urgent tasks. The post holder will provide cover for the Locality Support Manager. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

Working with the Locality Support Manager the post holder assists with the operational management of all administrative, secretarial and clerical staff within the Community Division.

Devise and distribute Monthly rota to ensure competing workload demands and short-notice periods of leave are adequately and equitably met, maximising limited resources in the most effective way.

Ensure good lines of communication are maintained at all times with admin staff across the Community Division and that all necessary information is disseminated and implemented by admin staff.

Promote and encourage good working relationships at all times, developing rapport and trust with all staff groups.

Attend appropriate Management Team and speciality meetings for the Community Division ensuring all relevant administrative issues are highlighted and actioned to support the Division towards achievement of key objectives and targets.

Chair meetings for admin staff within the Division as required to take forward new initiatives/mini projects within admin working practices e.g. relief training programmes/task and finish groups. This requires an excellent level of communication skills to lead effective discussions where information can be conveyed which may cause potential conflict.
