The restorative surgeries on both sites are fully equipped with state of art dental equipment. Facilities and support to provide complex endodontic work is also present. The units have recently procured a high specification dental microscopes (Global) to support the endodontic service needs in particular dental trauma cases. The surgeries are also catered for Dental implants and complex periodontal surgery.
Main duties of the job
Lead the development of high-quality Restorative Dentistry service within BCUHB, including the opportunity to be directly involved in the development of a Tier 2 Restorative service across North Wales.
Support and develop multidisciplinary clinics with Orthodontics, Paediatric Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery to provide assessment, treatment planning and treatment as appropriate
Member of the Head and Neck Cancer MDT providing expert input and service support to Cancer patients.
Provide assessment, treatment planning and treatment for Cleft Lip and Palate patients, as part of the North West Cleft Lip & Palate Service.
Provide a specialist Restorative Dentistry advisory, diagnostic and treatment planning service to support dental practitioners in the management of complex restorative cases, including guidance in the execution of treatment as necessary
Provide assessment, treatment planning and treatment for patients with complex restorative dentistry
Maintain and develop local dental services by supporting innovation and best practice including redefinition of referral criteria as needed to regulate the flow of patients to the most appropriate place
Provide advice to support the development of primary care dentists to lead to improved patient outcomes
