THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 7 MONTHS TO COVER MATERNITY LEAVE

The post holder will provide an efficient administration service to support the Acute Stroke Team. You will have good attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills. You must have the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently; using your initiative to contribute to the smooth running of this busy area. The post holder must have the ability to manage their workload efficiently and effectively.Previous medical administration experience is essential. Experience of working in a busy office environment is desirable.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

An accurate, confidential and supportive administration service for patients, clinical teams, Stroke Management, carers and internal and external agencies (e.g. Third Sector, in order to: Provide a safe and efficient patient pathway and provide information and appropriate support to families and carers

The post holder will support the delivery of a comprehensive high quality administrative service including data entry and audit functions.

Job responsibilities

An accurate, confidential and supportive administration service for patients, clinical teams, Stroke Management, carers and internal and external agencies (e.g. Third Sector, in order to: Provide a safe and efficient patient pathway and provide information and appropriate support to families and carers.

The post holder will support the delivery of a comprehensive high quality administrative service including data entry and audit functions.

To support the co-ordination of the administration arrangements to provide a high quality supportive administrative service to the specialist nurses, consultant, therapy teams, stroke management and stroke association co-ordinator. Specifically, the main function is supporting data entry into the Stroke Sentinel National Audit Programme (SSNAP)and extracting audit information as required, ensuring deadlines are met. To work independently and be accountable for organising/prioritising own workload to ensure deadlines are achieved. To support the facilitation of the patients along a defined pathway.

  • RSA /OCR level 2 or equivalent
  • IT related qualification CLAIT plus /ECDL or equivalent
