Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist - Adult team
Are you about to graduate and looking for your first Speech and Language Therapy post or are you a qualified band 5 looking for opportunities in new clinical areas?
We are looking to recruit a self-motivated, enthusiastic and organised Speech and Language Therapist to join our well established and expanding adult team in BCUHB East Integrated Health Community, covering Wrexham and Flintshire.
Main duties of the job
This is a rotational post with opportunities to work in stroke services, acute hospital inpatients, community, ALD and voice. You will be required to provide assessment, advice and therapy to your allocated caseload with a range of speech, language, communication and EDS needs, working with the patients, their families and supporting agencies in a range of settings.
We have a one team approach, which means that whichever service area you are based in, you will have strong links and access to the support of friendly, experienced SLTs and TIs working in all areas of Speech and Language Therapy. We are a forward thinking department and you will need to show flexibility and innovation and share in the team's passion for delivering quality patient led care.
We offer a comprehensive and structured induction to all our new starters followed by high quality clinical supervision, regular team meetings and exciting CPD opportunities. We pride ourselves on our strong NQP support network, with colleagues with extensive skills and experience around you to help you develop as a SLT. You will receive regular management and clinical supervision as well as having access to a mentor to support acquisition of NQP competencies as required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential for this role.
We welcome informal visits and would love to hear from you with any queries.
