This role requires someone who is compassionate, resilient, and professional, particularly when supporting patients during the delivery of sensitive or distressing information.

Main duties of the job
The Senior Radiology Clinical Support Worker (Band 3) plays a vital role in supporting the smooth and effective delivery of Radiology services.
Working under the supervision of Radiographers and Sonographers, the post holder will contribute to both the clinical and administrative aspects of patient care, ensuring a high standard of service is maintained throughout the department.
You will be expected to work independently within your scope of practice, carrying out delegated tasks related to Radiographic and Ultrasound procedures. This includes preparing patients and clinical areas, assisting during examinations, and progressing routine procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and safety guidelines.
In addition to clinical duties, you will support the administrative management of patient pathways--booking appointments, managing patient records, and helping to coordinate workflow to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
The role requires a flexible and adaptable approach, as you may be asked to work across different areas of the Radiology department depending on service needs. You will also be expected to participate in ongoing training and development to keep your skills up to date and to support service improvements.
This is a patient-facing role that may involve exposure to sensitive or distressing situations. As such, compassion, professionalism, and excellent communication skills are essential.
