Pharmacy Assistant (BAND 2)

This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of delivering pharmacy services within a prison, in partnership with the Prison Lead Pharmacist and His Majesty's Prison and Probation Services (HMPPS). Opened in February 2017 this Category C male training prison, with a remand facility, has a capacity of 2,106. Within the healthcare facility there is a fully automated pharmacy department.
Main duties of the job
Working as a Pharmacy Assistant your duties will include:
- ordering of medication for the pharmacy
- ordering and stocking of the pharmacy with consumables
- receiving deliveries to pharmacy
- supply of medication to dispensaries in the houseblocks
- receptionist duties
- administration duties
Previous experience in pharmacy work is not necessary as training will be given but a good standard of numeracy and literacy will be expected.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
