Job summary

A motivated, knowledgeable, experienced Clinical Service Manager is required to lead the Community Children's Service within the Central Integrated Health Community Team in North Wales. The post is based in Conwy & Denbighshire, and will link closely with other children's services within the Central area and across North Wales. Base can be discussed.

The successful applicant will manage the children's community service, children's disability services and the neuro-developmental services for the area.

A valid and relevant professional registration is required, as well as significant management experience at Band 7 or equivalent. A commitment to promoting the health and well being of children and families is essential as well as a desire to continue to transform and lead our services.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

The post holder provides clinical, professional and managerial leadership to the Children's Service.

To effectively manage the budget and the allocation of resources for the service. Particular emphasis will be placed on the management of performance, quality and resource utilization, with a view to securing the delivery of consistently high quality and safe clinical services within available resources.

To support the IHC Area Team in relation to strategic planning, clinical policy and governance and the management of clinical activity, to ensure that the Central Area Integrated Health teams plans and their implementation reflect the Health Board's corporate objectives, operational policies and strategic intentions.

Support Associate Director in making a corporate contribution in support of the IHC Team's overall objectives including responsibility for developing and maintaining a thematic lead across an area of practice across North Wales.
