We've an opportunity for Pharmacy Assistants to join our friendly PTS team at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital, we're looking for reliable, conscientious individuals.

Services provided involve preparation of injectable medicines, you'll therefore be expected to follow departmental procedures, comply with Good Manufacturing (GMP) Standards and show attention to detail.

No prior experience is necessary and successful candidates will receive local training. PTS supports development of our staff, further opportunities may be available if aptitude/enthusiasm for the role is demonstrated.

Main duties of the job

Duties of the post are found in the Job description and include:

  • Assembly of products in readiness for aseptic preparation.
  • Decontamination and transfer of materials into clean rooms.
  • Perform in-process volume checks as required.
  • Aseptically prepare injectable medicines.
  • Perform monitoring of aseptic unit.
  • Stock control of materials.
  • Answering phone, dealing with straightforward queries.
  • Cleaning/decontamination of isolators & clean rooms.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
