Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a band 4 Generic Therapy Technical Instructor to work within the East IHC Home First Service.
The Home First Service supports patients from hospital to their usual place of residence by providing ongoing therapeutic interventions..
We are looking for a motivated, hard-working, proactive individual who will be able to work alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, other TIs and Support Workers.
We value the importance of continuing professional development and Peer support. The successful candidate will be supported with supervision, appraisals and identifying learning opportunities and training.
Main duties of the job
- Gathering of baseline information to assist the Therapy Assessments.
- Carry out therapeutic interventions following initial assessments carried out by the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist.
- Interventions will include progression of transfers and mobility, delivery of exercise programmes including exercise classes and practicing activities of daily living such as washing and dressing and meal preparation.
- As a Band 4 TI you will also work independently to promote wellbeing, safety and independence within essential activities of daily living, by providing instruction, advice and treatment to the service-user and/or their carers.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
