This post is fixed term / secondment until 31/03/2026 to meet the needs of the service.

Are you looking to be part of an exciting new team within the health board? Are you driven to improve the care and experience of all age patients who access Planned care services? Are you looking for an opportunity to play a pivotal role in Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board's, first point of contact for patients services?

As a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) and Self Care Service Nurse Call Handler, you will provide a high level of service to the Single Point of Contact team, which forms the basis of the 3P's delivery (Promote, Prevent and Prepare for treatment to be a success).

  • Knowledge of Planned Care, waiting times and NHS targets.
  • Substantial post registration experience
  • Well-developed clinical skills

Desirable

  • Degree in Nursing
  • Surgical or orthopeadic relevent courses

Aptitude and abilities

Essential

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain high standards of care
  • Ability to assess, plan and refer patient care appropriately
  • Able to support patients physical and psychological needs remotely
  • Excellent telephone manner

Desirable

  • Knowledge/experience of computer systems.
