Job summary
An exciting position has arisen as a support secretary to join the Orthopedic Department within the Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The candidate will be enthusiastic and highly motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The role will be to provide a comprehensive range of secretarial and administration duties to the Consultants and their associated teams.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide an efficient high quality typing and administration service to support the medical secretarial team. Support the team in the management of patient's medical case notes and effective filing system and supporting the patients along the defined patient pathway.
Will undertake and solve routine problems following departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs) such as; locating case notes, filing , tracking case notes, addressing waiting list issues, liaising with patients regarding cancellations of clinics using, simple rules and tools, escalates when necessary and will makes judgements involving straightforward work related facts or situations, and escalate any issues when necessary.
