Head of Nursing Secondment East

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the Head of Nursing Role within the East area Mental Health & Learning Disability Division at band 8c.

The post holder will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse and hold substantial experience of operating effectively at a senior level within the organisation.

The successful candidate will become part of the East area triumvirate and have a passion to deliver patient centred care by leading the East area team to deliver patient care which is high quality, effective and patient centred.

Main duties of the job

As Head of Nursing, you will ensure that all services are delivered in line with agreed performance, financial and governance objectives whilst ensuring the workforce are professionally led and managed in order to develop a highly motivated and empowered team. The post holder will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that the service meets local, regional and national quality standards including nursing/service metrics in collaboration with all staff and teams

The post holder will hold demonstrative skills as a clinical nurse leader who is able to identify opportunities for service change and improvement to encourage and enable advancement and development of associated evidence-based services. This post is instrumental in developing and implementing the Clinical Governance frameworks and in giving professional advice in relation to the development of services, within the area/division and also to patients and families where required.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
