Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated person to join the HCA education team in North Wales to provide full time 37.5 hours per week support to the Healthcare Assistant development within our education team.

This position will involve the assessment and support of Health Care Assistant's and Healthcare apprentices who are working towards the Qualification and Credit Framework Diploma Levels 2 and 3. It will also include supporting newly appointed HCAs and Bank staff to access the All Wales HCA Induction Programme. The successful applicant will work in clinical areas throughout BCUHB, both hospital and community based. They will be assessing the standard of HCAs & apprentices clinical and caring skills, while also supporting work based assessors.

The successful applicants will be involved in the delivery of developmental sessions to HCA.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will work in clinical areas throughout BCUHB, both hospital and community areas and assist learners in their professional development. The position will also involve the applicant designing, developing and delivering developmental session as per All Wales Induction Programme to learners.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
