Job summary
To work alongside the midwifery teams, providing support and assistance in the clinical environment where required.
To be responsible for identifying deviations from the "norm" within your scope of practice, and referring to other appropriate health care professionals.
To provide care to mothers and babies as directed by the community midwife. To facilitate clinics as per your job role requirements.
Main duties of the job
We are pleased to offer a vacancy for a caring and motivated Health Care Support Worker to join the Denbigh, Rhyl, Colwyn Bay and Holywell Community Midwifery Teams.
Main duties will include assisting the midwifery teams with the delivery of patient care whilst maintaining a clean, tidy and safe community environment conducive to high standards of patient care,. The role will also involve the provision of some administration support to the midwifery staff, e.g. ordering of supplies.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a caring and empathetic approach and an ability to relate positively to staff and patients. Significant and relevant work/social experience which has utilised skills and knowledge that could be of benefit to this post are essential.This post will involve working Mon-Fri
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
