Job summary
The Radiology Department in the Wrexham Maelor Hospital is seeking to appoint enthusiastic and motivated individuals to the role of Radiographic Assistant within our Mammography and X-Ray Department.
Many parts of the Radiology department have recently undergone extensive re-modelling and improvement works.
This role will involve a combination of administrative and clerical tasks and will also contain elements of direct patient care.
Successful applicants must have excellent administrative and organisational skills, caring attributes, be capable of working within a team and on their own and have good interpersonal skills and be able to show initiative. You will need to be a tactful communicator, sensitive to the nature of the work undertaken.
There are a number of part time roles available across daytimes, evenings and weekends working in a variety of areas of the department including X-Ray and Mammography.
Although this post will predominantly be based in the X-Ray Department of the Maelor, there may also be an opportunity to provide support to other areas of the Radiology Department as well as to Community sites within the Health Board.

Main duties of the job
To assist the radiographers, radiologists and other members of the radiology multi disciplinary team by carrying out non-radiographic duties which include the care, preparation and management of patients presenting for radiological procedures, preparation of equipment, ordering of equipment via the online procurement system, reception and clerical duties and the processing of images as required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
