Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to work withinthe Occupational Therapy Team in Holywell Hospital as a Band 3 Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner. This post is fixed term until the 31st March 2025 and 37.5 hours per week.
Under the direction of the Occupational Therapists, you will be working with people who have complex needs, promoting a person-centred approach to rehabilitation and contributing to discharge planning
This post is fixed term/secondment for 9 months until 31.03.2025 to meet the needs of the service. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.
Main duties of the job
The role is based on the in-patient wards,delivering rehabilitation programmes as agreed between the patient and the Occupational Therapists. You will be working closely with the wider multi-disciplinary team in the hospital to deliver patient centred interventions. The role will include completing personal care practice, mobility and transfer practice, accompanying the Occupational Therapist on home visits and fitting and delivering equipment.
The post holder must be adept at communicating on the phone as well as in person. There will also be various administration tasks involvedon a day-to-day basis. Computer proficiency is needed as documentation is electronic and equipment ordering is via an electronic system.
This post is an integral part of the team and is essential to support the delivery of the Occupational Therapy service provided to patients in this setting.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
