Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Paediatric Practice Development Nurse to join our friendly team for 12 months fixed term to cover maternity leave.
The successful applicant will be confident and dynamic and possess excellent communication and organisational skill and have a passion for the continuing professional development and education of our workforce.
You will be innovative and committed to drive change forward to improve training and education within our services.
TheChildren's Unit consists of 19 inpatient beds including 1 High Dependency bed, 3 Enhanced Care beds.
We also have 6 Assessment unit beds, 6 medical/surgical day case beds and 2 Oncology beds.
Main duties of the job
- Ongoing education of all staff in the Children's Unit, trained and untrained staff.
- Facilitating placement of learners of all type in the Children's Unit.
- To take charge of the unit, ensuring the delivery of safe effective care.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
