Fixed term / secondment for 12 months due to funding
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Community Children's Nursing Team- Flintshire. This is for an experienced Children's Nurse. The post holder will work with children who have complex health care nursing needs and life limiting / threatening conditions. We are an enthusiastic small team of children's nurses and this is a valuable opportunity to gain insight and experience within this group of children in a community setting. This post will involve managing and taking the lead with a caseload of children within the community setting and supporting junior members of staff, students and health care support workers. It will include some clinical home/school based care. Motivated and dynamic people who have the required level of training and experience are invited to apply for this opportunity.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be an experienced Children's Nurse with excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multi-agency environment, responsible for providing expert advice, information and care for children and young people within their caseload.
Working in partnership to empower families and other health care workers to provide consistent evidence based care delivery to children and young people within their caseload.
Act as a resource to provide specialist advice to colleagues and others involved in the care of the child and family.
To provide support to families such as listening skills, at all points of contact and refer to appropriate services.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
