An integral aspect of this strategy is the potential to establish new alliances with specialist centres within Wales and further afield. We utilise AI technology in our diagnostic practice and we have a new rapid, continuous tissue processor, the x120.

Main duties of the job

The department is established on a unique environment embedded within a culture of teaching and training involving junior pathology medical and scientific staff's in house training. Support to the clinical medical staff training is also provided. Weekly multi-header sessions and weekly intradepartmental CPD programmes, currently supported through Microsoft Teams from individual offices, further supplemented by hospital grand rounds and career progression courses arranged by the university are some of the key educational activities available.Excited by this opportunity to pioneer contemporary solutions that will transform pathology service delivery across a very wide footprint, both within and outside Wales; you will offer a refreshing, entrepreneurial and naturally creative style together with the determination to deliver excellent service provision that sets you apart from your peers.
