New post for clinical fellows in Anaesthesia, Critical Care and Global Health in Snowdonia, North Wales

Ysbyty Gwynedd Anaesthetic department is looking to recruit doctors in Anaesthesia and Critical care with an interest in mountain medicine to join our team of trainees, specialty doctors and other clinical fellows working on our resident/on call rotas.

All of the jobs would involve a mixture of work on a 1 in 8 on call rota with 10% time (approx 20 days/yr) allocated to developing their global health interest

Main duties of the job

This is a full time post with out of hour's commitments. The job plan is negotiable, depending on individual's interests and service requirements.

As an example a typical job plan will include:

  • 100% on-call commitment in anaesthesia/critical care/obstetrics depending on the candidates competencies
  • 80% per week daytime clinical work including anaesthesia/critical care/obstetrics depending on the candidates competencies
  • 20 % (roughly 1 day per week) working on the development of a global healthcare initiative.
  • Professional development and teaching built in to each of the above.

The appointment is subject to the national Medical and Dental Terms and Conditions of service. On-call rota will be 1 in 8.
