Job summary
The Radiology West Service is seeking to appoint enthusiastic and highly motivated Advanced Radiographic Assistants to undertake general patient care and clerical administrative tasks on a full / part time contract, predominantly to support the Radiology Service in Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor. There will be a requirement to work evenings and weekends and also to provide support for the Radiology Service on other sites within the Health Board as needed.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidates must have excellent patient care skills, along with good communication and team working skills.
To work independently under the direction of a Radiographer to maintain and support an efficient day-to-day running of the Radiology service. To contribute to the general running of the Radiologyservice.
To work under direction of Radiographers in the overall clinical and administrative management of patients.
To be delegated routine Radio-graphic examination tasks to be carried out independently and progress examinations within guidelines and protocols.To be accountable for these tasks.
To participate in training to update and assist in service changes within designated area. To be flexible and be prepared to work in other areas depending on service needs.
Previous experience of working within a Radiology Department would be advantageous.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
