Job summary

Are you a skilled Clinical psychologist looking for a fulfilling leadership role? If so, we invite you to apply for a rare opportunity for a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist to join the North Wales Adolescent Service in a critical role within our 'Intensive Community Support' team, 'Kite'.

Kite sits at the interface between Tier 3 and Tier 4 inpatient CAMHS offering time-limited input that informs treatment pathways. Clinical work is often complex and involves multi-agency and multi-disciplinary working on a day to day basis. We draw on systemic and mentalizing principles, using the AMBIT model. The role supports both the team whilst also offering the chance to take on individual, complex cases.

Intensive community support means offering care differently. We bring care to young people and families when Tier 3 services are not enough, or inpatient admission would otherwise be likely. We offer extended hours, increased frequency and flexibility of clinical input. Kite act as gatekeepers to Tier 4 CAMHS, providing assessment, and supporting both admission and discharge from the inpatient unit.

If successful you will contribute to ongoing development and innovation within our service, as well as to Health-Social Care partnership developments and broader child psychology initiatives. You can also enjoy close links with Bangor University's North Wales Clinical Psychology Programme.
