This is a very exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the people of North East Wales. This new post is part of an exciting new initiative across BCUHB Adult Mental Health Services. This is a Development Role. Newly qualified Clinical Psychologists will be considered for this post. The post holder will be able to progress from Band 7 to Band 8a once they demonstrate the competencies specified for Band 8a.
The successful post holder will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of evidence based interventions for young people with psychosis and their families. This will include the delivery of cognitive behavioural therapy for psychosis, and behavioural family therapy for families, as well as providing supervision and consultation to other members of the MDT. The successful candidate will also work alongside the Consultant Clinical Psychologist to make a contribution to audit and service evaluation within North East Wales.
Main duties of the job

The post holder will receive professional leadership support and line management from within a friendly and growing AMH Clinical Psychology & Psychological Services Department. This department has excellent clinical and research links with the School of Psychology and the DClinPsych Department at the University of Wales, Bangor.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- Good Honours degree in Psychology. Eligibility for Chartered status with the BPS.
- Post-graduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS
