Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic Health Care Support Workers to join Fleming Ward at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

Fleming Ward specialises in respiratory medicine. Come and join us - and be a part of brand new exciting hospital developments, which are creating the ideal environment for our newly qualified nurses, staff and our patients, improving the health of the population we serve.

Applicants must have an approachable manner necessary to deal with patients and their relatives and desirable experience of a hospital environment.

The successful candidates will work within acute adult wards within the Medical Directorate caring for patients admitted into hospital.

Following an agreed level of training, NVQ level 2 & 3 in care, the successful candidate will be required to work internal rotation on the ward. Successful applicants will have an induction programme arranged for their orientation into the Medical team.

Main duties of the job

You need to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills; you are required to be self-motivated with initiative.

You will work independently within the multidisciplinary team always ensuring the patients needs are met. You will be working under supervision of a registered health professional. There may be progression in terms of development.

Working hours are SHIFT BASIS and a flexible approach will be considered.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
