Deputy Directorate General Manager

An opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Operational Manager to join our team to undertake the role of Deputy Directorate General Manager for Medicine based in Central - Glan Clwyd Hospital. Extensive experience of managing complex operational delivery against National targets is essential. Significant budget management skills as well as excellent people and staff management are also critical, including the ability to build strong multi-disciplinary clinically led teams to drive improvements in patient care pathways.The post holder will also be responsible for undertaking analysis and collation of service delivery within the Directorate including capacity and demand, business case planning, workforce planning and BCUHB delivery reports.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

  • Post Graduate (Masters level) degree or career demonstrable experience of working in a highly complex clinical or managerial role with skills directly relevant and transferrable to this role
  • Project management experience with evidence of leading and managing improvement projects in the health and/or social care setting
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development through a combination of courses, in service training and experience

  • Registered Clinician
