Dental Core Trainee / Clinical Fellow
Glan Clwyd Hospital
We are looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Fellow to join our Oral & Maxillofacial Department. The maxillofacial surgery service for North Wales is now centralised on the Glan Clwyd Hospital site where all emergency and inpatient elective surgery is carried out. Daycase surgery and outpatient clinics are performed at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor and Llandudno General Hospital.
Applicants must have Full / temporary GDC / GMC registration
3 positions available - 2 x 12 month fixed term and 1 x 6 month fixed term until March 2023.
Main duties of the job
The major workload of the department is head and neck cancer with microvascular reconstruction, the management of skin cancer and both benign and malignant salivary gland disease. All other areas of maxillofacial surgery are also provided including orthognathic surgery, dentoalveolar surgery, implantology and temporomandibular joint replacement. In addition there is a comprehensive maxillofacial trauma service.
