Job summary
The Speech and Language Therapy department at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board have a new and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist.
We are looking for a dynamic Speech and Language Therapist to join our well established, supportive and experienced team. This is a full time permanent post and the ability to speak Welsh is essential.
As a successful candidate you will have a recognized Speech and Language Therapy Degree and be HCPC registered. This post offers a great opportunity to develop clinical skills and gain experiences across a range of school-aged settings. There will also be an opportunity to work within pre-school services.

- Receive regular clinical supervision in both 1:1 and peer support groups.
- Attend regular team meetings.

- Have an opportunity to acquire skills and development in a range of school-aged services.
- Support our Team to integrate the ALN Act
- Have buddy and supervisor support if completing NQT competencies.
- Work closely with the wider Multi-disciplinary Team for school-aged services.
- Support our team to continue to develop our on-line training packages.
Main duties of the job
- You will work within both Welsh and English mainstream schools across both Conwy and Denbighshire.
- You will work with a varied Paediatric caseload, working with school-aged children, in a range of settings including Primary and Secondary mainstream schools.
- You will be responsible for assessing, and designing intervention for children on your caseload.
- You will have the opportunity to work directly with children and young people as well as provide training, advice and support to school staff and the wider workforce.
- You will work in partnership with families and professionals to support the needs of the children on your caseload.
- You will have an opportunity to be involved in projects which contribute to service development.
- Work closely with the wider Multi-disciplinary Team for school-aged services.
- Support our team to continue to develop our on-line training packages.
