Job summary

We are seeking a part time, permanent, Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language therapist to work in our supported and motivated paediatric Speech and Language Therapy team.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, dynamic, and innovative with a commitment to providing high quality services with excellent health outcomes to children, young people and their families.

The post holder will work 4 days per week across Gwynedd and Anglesey working alongside Band 7 Speech and Language Therapists, Specialist teachers, Educational Psychologists alongside other early years support staff. We are seeking someonewho has experience of working with pre-school aged children within multi-agency teams, and across boundaries. Existing dysphagia competencies are desirable but not essential and we will fully support the post holder to train and obtain certified competencies if needed.

Our department has established systems for supporting professional and managerial supervision and mentoring, and is committed to supporting professional development.

The population of Gwynedd and Anglesey is naturally bilingual and local services are provided bilingually in Welsh and English. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

We will support non Welsh speaking therapists to learn Welsh.
