Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity within our Speech and Language Therapy Team for Adults with a Learning Disability for BCUHB area West (Gwynedd and Anglesey) working within our Speech and Language Therapy Learning Disability Team. This post is a transition post, and we encourage applications from band 5 Speech and Language Therapists who are looking to further develop their clinical skills in adult Speech and Language Therapy (within the field of Learning Disability). In return, we will offer a competency based development programme, with a mentor and enhanced supervision to enable the successful applicant to progress from band 5 to the band 6 post within an agreed time frame. Applications from candidates who are already at band 6 level are equally encouraged.

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will develop a specialism in working with adults with a learning disability working across Gwynedd and Anglesey as part of the multi-disciplinary Learning Disability team and will be supported to complete post-graduate dysphagia training.

The post offers opportunities for CPD, clinical supervision, skills sharing, personal development and service development - all whilst enjoying the beautiful surroundings that Gwynedd and Anglesey have to offer.
